Effect of oxalate escitalopram combined with mindfulness training on behavior and negative psychology in adolescents with non suicidal self injury

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of oxalate escitalopram combined with mindfulness training on behavior and negative psychology in adolescents with non suicidal self injury(NSSI).Methods One hundred and ninety adolescents with NSSI admitted to our hospital from February 2022 to March 2023 were randomly divided into a control group(n=95)and an observation group(n=95).All patients were treated with oxalate escitalopram,those in the observation group added mindfulness training.The NSSI severity,scores of Barratt Impulsiveness Scale(BIS),Emotional Intelligence Scale(EIS),Hamilton Depression Scale 17 items(HAMD-17)and Hamilton Anxiety Scale 14 items(HAMA-14),as well as the curative effects were included as comparisons between the two groups.Results After treatment,the observation group presented significantly improved NSSI severity,decreased scores of BIS,HAMD-17,and HAMA-14,but increased scores of EIS relative to the control group(allP<0.05).The curative effect in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of oxalate escitalopram and mindfulness training can reduce self injurious behavior,improve emotional disorders,and has a significant therapeutic effect on NSSI adolescents.
