Efficacy of amlodipine besylate and sacubitril valsartan on cardiac and renal function and blood lipid indexes in hypertensive patients

Abstract：Objective To study the effect of amlodipine besylate(AB)and sacubitril valsartan(SV)on cardiac and renal function and blood lipid indexes in hypertensive patients.Methods Eighty hypertensive patients admitted to our hospital from March 2021 to April 2022 were selected and divided into observation group(n=40)and control group(n=40)by a random number table.All patients were treated with AB,those in the observation group added SV.The treatment effect and indicators of cardiac function including left ventricular(LV)diameter,left atrial(LA)diameter,interventricular septum(IVS)thickness,ejection fraction(EF),renal function index including uric acid(UA),creatinine(Scr),homocysteine(Hcy),estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR),and lipid index including triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),total cholesterol(TC)were compared between the two groups.Results The total response rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(92.50％vs 75.00％,P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the levels of LA,LV,IVS and EF before treatment between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the levels of LA diameter,LV diameter and IVS thickness in the two groups decreased significantly,and the decrease in the observation group was significantly greater than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The level of EF in the two groups increased significantly,and the increase was more pronounced in the observation group(P＜0.05).There was little difference in UA,Scr,Hey,and eGFR levels between the two groups(P＞0.05).But with significantly lower levels of UA and Scr,and higher Hey and eGFR in both groups after treatment(P＜0.05),and the improvement was more significant in the observation group relative to the control group(P＜0.05).The TG,LDL-C,and TC levels were little different between the two groups before treatment(P＞0.05).TG,LDL-C and TC levels decreased significantly in both groups after treatment,the decrease in the observation group was greater than control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of AB and SV for hypertension have a good therapeutic effect,and it can also improve the cardiac and renal function and blood lipid indexes,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
