Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of triptolide with interventional embolization chemotherapy on sex hormone levels and long-term survival of cervical cancer patients. Methods A total of 62 patients with cervical cancer admitted between June 2020 and June 2022 were randomly divided into the conventional group(31 cases)and the combined group(31 cases). All patients were given conventional symptomatic treatment and interventional embolization chemotherapy, while patients in the combined group was additionally given triptolide. The short-term remission rate, sex hormone levels at different time points, adverse events and long-term follow-up results in the two groups were observed and compared. Results The total remission rate in the combined group after treatment was significantly higher than that of the conventional group(83.87%vs 58.06%,P<0.05).After half a year of chemotherapy,estrogen(E2)levels significantly decreased in both groups, and significantly lower in the combined group than the conventional group(P<0.05).Follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)and luteinizing hormone(LH)levels in the combined group significantly decreased, while the levels of FSH and LH in the conventional group significantly increased after treatment(P<0.05).Half a year after the chemotherapy,FSH,E2 and LH levels in the combined group were restored to the pre-chemotherapy levels.FSH and LH levels in the conventional group significantly decreased and E2 levels significantly increased(P<0.05).The incidence of gastrointestinal reactions in the combined group was significantly lower than that of the conventional group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the 3-year survival rate(67.74%vs 54.84%)and the local recurrence rate(9.68%vs 25.81%)between groups(P>0.05).The distant metastasis rate in the combined group was significantly lower than that of the conventional group(3.23%vs 19.35%,P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of triptolide and transcatheter arterial chemoembolization has a good short-term effect in cervical cancer patients, which can significantly improve their sex hormone levels and gastrointestinal reactions. It is worth further clinical research and application.
