Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation between HE4,CA125,ROMA index, vaginal ultrasonography and pathological type and staging of epithelial ovarian cance. Methods A total of 216 patients with ovarian cancer were enrolled in the study, who were diagnosed definitely by imaging, clinical and pathological examination. The changes of HE4, CA125 , ROMA index, RI,VI in different sFIGO stages of epithelial ovarian cancer were detected and analyzed. Results The expression levels and positive expression rates of HE4,CA125,ROMA index and VI were significantly increased with the increase of staging (P <0. 05),however RI was significantly decreased (P <0. 05). The positive expression rates and expression levels of HE4 and CA125 in patients with serous adenocarcinoma were significantly increased,as compared with those in the other pathological types of ovarian cancer (P<0. 05). However there were no significant differences in RI and VI among different pathological types of ovarian cancer (P>0. 05). Conclusion The HE4,CA125,ROMA index and vaginal ultrasonography have a certain correlation with the pathological type and staging of epithelial ovarian cancer. HE4 and ROMA can improve the diagnosis rate of early epithelial ovarian cancer and mucinous adenocarcinoma, moreover vaginal ultrasonography is valuable for the clinical stage of epithelial ovarian cancer, but it has no reference value for the judgment of pathological type of ovarian cancer.
