Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effects of foreign bodies removal surgery in upper digestive tract under gastroscope and related risk factors. Methods Eighty-four patients with upper digestive tract foreign bodies who underwent removal surgery under gastroscope in our hospital from September 2014 to May 2016 were enrolled in the study,in whom, 31 patients who received removal surgery under routine gastroscope were enrolled as routine treatment group, however, the other 53 patients who received removal surgery under painless gastroscopy were enrolled as observation group. The heart rate ( HR) ,mean arterial pressure ( MAP) and blood oxygen saturation ( SPO2 ) before and after surgery were retrospectively analyzed in both group. Moreover the successful removal rate of foreign bodies, the time of foreign bodies removal, incidence rates of adverse reactions and complications were observed and compared between two groups. Results The levels of HR and MAP during operation in routine treatment group were significantly increased, however, which in observation group were significantly decreased, moreover, which in routine treatment group were significantly higher than those in observation group (P<0. 05). However there were no significant differences in the levels of HR and MAP at the end of operation between two groups ( P >0. 05). In addition there were no significant differences in SPO2 values during operation between two groups (P>0. 05). The successful removal rate of foreign bodies was 83. 87% in routine treatment group, which was significantly lower than that (96. 23%) in observation group ( P < 0. 05). Besides the incidence rates of adverse reactions and complication in routine treatment group were significantly higher than those in observation group ( P <0. 05). The successful removal rate of foreign bodies in upper digestive tract under gastroscope was correlated with location of foreign bodies, types of foreign bodies, shapes of foreign bodies and visiting time at some extent ( P <0. 05). Conclusion The upper gastrointestinal foreign bodies removal surgery under painless gastroscopy has the advantages of higher success rate, higher safety, conveniency and low incidence of complications, therefor, which plays an important role in early diagnosis and treatment of upper digestive tract foreign bodies.
