Abstract:Objective To investigate the role of serum VEGF-A, sFlt-1, MDA and T-AOC in patient with preeclampsia. Methods Twenty-eight woman patients with severe preeclampsia who were hospitalized in our hospital from May to December 2014 were enrolled as preeclampsia group ( group PE) ,at the same time, 20 normal pregnant women were enrolled as control group. The serum levels of VEGF-A and sFlt-1 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay ( ELISA) ,and the serum levels of MDA and T-AOC were measured by chemical method. Results As compared with those in control group, the serum levels of VEGF-A were significantly decreased in group PE, however, the serum levels of sFlt-1 were significantly increased in group PE (P<0. 05),moreover the MDA levels in group PE were significantly higher than those in control group, but T-AOC levels were significantly lower than those in control group (P<0. 05). In addition the serum levels of VEGF-A in group PE were positivelt correlated with neonatal birth weight and placental weight (P<0. 05). Conclusion The serum levels of MDA,VEGF-A,sFl-1and T-AOC in patients with preeclampsia are changed significantly, which suggests that dysfunction of vascular factor and oxidative stress are involved in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia.
