The clinical effects of Buyanghuanwu decoction in treating cerebral thrombosis
Abstract：Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of Buyanghuanwu decoction cerebral thrombosis (CT). Methods A total of 118 patients with CT who were admitted and treated in our hospital were randomly divided into control group (n=59) and observation group (n=59) according to random number table. The patients in control group were treated by conventional western medicine, including symptomatic and supportive treatments to inhibit platelet aggregation, improve cerebral ischemia, and provide nutrients for nerve cells, whereas the patients in observation group were supplemented by Buyanghuanwu decoction on the basis of control group. The clinicl efficacy,changes in cerebral blood flow velocity, hemorheological parameters,neurological function and ability of life,and adverse drug reactions were observed and compared between two groups.Results The total effective rate was 94.92% in observation group,which is significantly higher than that (74.58%) in control group(P<0.05). Before treatment there were no significant differences in peak systolic blood velocity (Vs),mean blood flow velocity (Vm),MCA,ACA,PCA and BA between two groups (P>0.05),however, after treatment the MCA,ACA,PCA,Vs and Vm of BA in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05). Before treatment there were no significant differences in high blood viscosity, low blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, hematocrit,fibrinogen,and platelet aggregation rate (PAV) of whole blood between two groups (P>0.05),however, after treatment,these indexes in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group (P <0. 05). Before treatment there were no significant differences in neurological deficit scores (NIHSS) and ADL scores between two groups (P>0.05),however,the NIHSS and ADL scores at 7d,14d,and 21d after treatment in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion TCM prescription-Buyanghuanwu decoction has better clinical curative effects on CT,which can effectively improve the hemorheology, accelerate the blood flow velocity in brain, increase the blood supply in ischemic area,and reduce the neurological impairment.Moreover,which can contribute to early repair and regeneration of neurological function and can improve prognosis of patients.
