Comparative study on cytokines-IFN-γ,IL-2,IL-4,IL-5 and IL-10 in serum and pleural effusion of patients with tuberculous pleurisy
Abstract：Objiecive To compare the levels of cytokines-IFN-γ,IL-2,IL-4,IL-5 and IL-10 in serum and pleural effusion of patients with tuberculous pleurisy,and to investigate the cellular immune status of patients in order to improve the levels of the diagnosis of tuberculous pleurisy.Methods Fifty patients with tuberculous pleurisy(age range:20~45yr) were enrolled as tuberculous pleurisy group, and the other 15 patients with non-tuberculous pleurisy were enrolled as non-tuberculous pleurisy group,moreover 15 healthy subjects were enrolled as control group.The levels of IFN-γ,IL-2,IL-4, IL-5 and IL-10 in serum and tuberculous pleurisy were detected by flow cytometry.Results There were significant differences in the levels of IFN-γ,IL-2,IL-4,IL-5 and IL-10 in pleural effusion between tuberculous pleurisy group and non-tuberculous pleurisy group (P<0.05). However there were np significant differences in the levels of The levels of IFN-γ,IL-2,IL-4,IL-5 and IL-10 in serum among the three groups each other(P>0.05). Conclusion It can provide reliable references for clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis of tuberculous pleurisy to detect the levels of IFN-γ,IL-2,IL-4,IL-5 and IL-10 in pleural effusion of patients.
