Therapeutic effects of compound Danshen dripping pills on early peripheral neuropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
Abstract:Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of compound Danshen dripping pills on early diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 130 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were enrolled in the study, who underwent sensory nerve quantitive detection, and the current perception threshold (CPT) of four limbs at 2000Hz,250Hz,5Hz were measured. According to whether CPT was abnormal, these patients were divided into normal sensory nerve group (control group) and sensory nerve injury group, and the patients in both groups were treated by basic treatment of anti-diabetes.Moreover sensory nerve injury group was redivided into mecobalamine treatment group and combination treatment group, the patients in mecobalamine treatment group and combination treatment group,on the basis of control group, were treated by mecobalamine, and the patients in combination treatment group,on the basis of mecobalamine treatment group, were treated by compound Danshen dripping pills, with a treatment couse of 6 months for the three groups. Results After treatment the CPT value was obviously improved in mecobalamine treatment group and combination treatment group (P<0.05 or P<0.01).The therapeutic effects in combination treatment group were superior to those in mecobalamine treatment group (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion The compound Danshen dripping pills can effectively ruduce CPT value of damaged sensory nerve so as to improve DPN of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
