Abstract:Objective To observe the therapeutic effects and safety of recombinant human interferon α1b injection in treatment of bronchiolitis in children. Methods A total of 200 children patients with bronchiolitis were randomly divided into control group ( n =100) and observation group( n =100). The patients in both groups were given conventional treatment, then the patients in observation group were treated by recombinant human interferonα1b inhalation at one million IU/time, once a day, with continuous course treatment for 7 days in both groups. The clinical curative effects, disappearing time of clinical symptoms and signs as well as adverse reactions were observed and compared between two groups. Tidal breathing lung function tests were conducted at 2m after treatment to observe the changes of respiratory frequency (RR), TIDAL volume (VT),time to peak ratio(TPTEF/TE),peak volume ratio(VPEF/VE),moreover,the patients in both groups were followed up for 6 months after treatment. Results The total effective rate in observation group was 99%,which was significantly higher than that (86%) in control group ( P <0.05). The disappearing time of clinical symptoms and signs including cough, dyspnea, wheezing, three concave disease as well as the disappearing time of pulmonary rales in observation group were significantly shorter than those in control group ( P <0.05).No local stimulation was detected in both group. There were no differences in breathing rate and tidal volume between two groups( P >0.05).Moreover the peak time and peak volume ratio in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group ( P <0.05). However there was no significant difference in rebreathing rate between two groups ( P >0.05). The vital signs and blood biochemical indicators before and after treatment were within normal range in both groups, and no adverse reactions including local irritation, skin rash, fever, vomiting after treatment with interferon α1b were found in both groups. Conclusion The recombinant human interferonα1b inhalation is safe and effective to treat bronchiolitis in children, which can obviously alleviate the clinical symptoms and signs of children, shorten the time of symptom disappearance.
