Abstract:Objective To observe the effects of atorvastatin sequential therapy on serum levels of visfatin and syndecanecan-4 protein in patients with ST-segment elevation acute myocardial infarction (AMI) after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods Ninety patients with ST-segment elevation AMI who were treated by PCI in our hospital from December 2015 to January 2016 were randomly divided into two groups, observation group (atorvastatin sequential therapy) and control group(atorvastatin non-sequential therapy),with 45 patients in each group. The patients in observation group were treated by oral atorvastatin 80mg on one day before PCI,then 40mg/d after PCI for a month, then 20mg/d sustaining therapy, however, the patients in control group were treated by oral atorvastatin 20mg/d on one day before PCI and after PCI.The serum levels of visfatin and syndecanecan-4 protein on admission to hospotial and on 72h after PCI were detected, moreover, the hepatic function lesions and incidence rates of MACE (Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events) were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The serum levels of visfatin and syndecanecan-4 protein were decreased in both groups, moreover, the decrease degree in observation group was more obvious than that in control group(P<0.05).The levels of ALT and AST were increased in both groups, however, there were no significant differences between two groups(P>0.05). The expression levels of visfatin were positively correlated to those of syndecanecan-4 (r=0.548,P<0.05).The incidence rate of MACE in observation group was 17.8%,which was obviously lower than that (33.3%) in control group (χ2=9.38,P<0.05).Conclusion The atorvastatin sequential therapy can decrease the inflammation reactions of patients with ST-segment elevation AMI after PCI,and can reduce incidence rate of MACE event, without obvious adverse reactions.
