Therapeutic effects of desloratadine citrate combined with Yupingfeng granules on facial recurrent dermatitis

Abstract：Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of desloratadine citrate combined with Yupingfeng granules on facial recurrent dermatitis.Methods Eighty-four patients with facial recurrent dermatitis were randomly divided into 2 groups,control group (n=42) and experimental group (n=42).The patients in both group were treated by wet compress with boric acid solution and external application with vitamin E cream and vitamin B6 ointment,in addition to that,the patients in control group were treated by oral desloratadine citrate tablets,however,the patients in experimental group were treated by oral Yupingfeng granules.The therapeutic effects,relapse rate and levels of EOS,IgE in peripheral blood were observed and compared between two groups.Results As compared with those before treatment,the levels of EOS and IgE in peripheral blood were decreased (P<0.01) in both groups after treatment,and the scores of erythema,scaling,itching,skin lesions were decreased (P<0.01),however the stratum corneum water content was increased (P<0.01).As compared with those in control group,the levels of EOS and IgE in experimental group were significantly decreased (P<0.01),the scores of erythema,scaling,itching,skin lesions were decreased (P<0.01),the stratum corneum water content was increased (P<0.01).Moreover clinical effective rate in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.01),and follow-up relapse rate was obviously lower than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The desloratadine citrate combined with Yupingfeng granules in treatment of facial recurrent dermatitis is effective,with lower follow-up relapse rate, therefor,which is worth using widely in clinical practice.
