Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of synergia and attenuation of traditional Chinese medicines (TCM) on primary nephrotic syndrome (PNS) treated by glucocorticoids so as to provide reference for clinical treatment. Methods Eighty patients with PNS who were admitted and treated in our hospital from January 2014 to January 2016 were randomly divided into glucocorticoid group and TCM group, with 40 patients in each group. The patients in glucocorticoid group were treated by prednisone tablets, however, the patients in TCM group,on the basis of glucocorticoid group, were treated by phased differentiating symptom treatment. After 6 -month treatment, the clinical curative effects, renal function, fibrinogen (Fib),blood lipid metabolism, immune function and incidence rate of adverse reactions were observed compared between the two groups. Results After 6-month treatment, the total effective rate in TMC group was 92.50%,which was significantly higher than that (72.50%) in glucocorticoid group (P<0.05).The 24hUTP and Fib in TCM group were significantly lower than those in glucocorticoid group, however, the levels of HDL-C,IgG and ALB in TCM group were significantly higher than those in glucocorticoid group (P<0.05).Moreover the incidence rates of liver function damage, blood sugar increasing, acne and centripetal obesity in TCM group were significantly lower than those in glucocorticoid group (P<0.05).Conclusion To give TCM differentiating symptom medication in different glucocorticoid treatment stages can significantly improve therapeutic effects on PNS,and can significantly improve the renal function, lipid metabolism and immune function of patients, and can reduce the incidence rates of adverse reactions, with obvious synergistic effects and attenuation effects.
