Therapeutic effects of the bronchoscope intervention on ulcer type tracheobronchial tuberculosis

Abstract：Objective To observe and compare the therapeutic effects of argon plasma coagulation (APC) that is also called as argon knife, argon plasma coagulation combined with cryotherapy,simple cryotherapy by means of bronchoscope intervention technique on ulcer type tracheobronchial tuberculosis.Methods One hundred and twenty patients with tracheobronchial tuberculosis who were admitted and treated in our hospital from January 2012 to June 2014 were divided into three groups by means of random number table,with 40 patients in each group.The patients in the three groups were given isoniazid (INH) 100mg by submucosal injection,moreover, the patients in group A were treated by APC,the patients in group B were treated by APC combined with cryotherapy,however, the patients in group C were treated by simple cryotherapy.The clinical symptoms including gasping,cough, wheezing sound,expectoration were observed and recorded in three groups, moreover, the therapeutic effects and the improvement status of clinical symptoms after 3-month treatment were observed and compared among three groups.Results There were significant differences in the therapeutic effects among three groups (P<0.05),moreover, the therapeutic effects in group B were superior to those in group A and group C (P<0.05).Before treatment there were no significant differences in the clinical symptoms including gasping,cough, wheezing sound,expectoration among three groups (P>0.05),however, after treatment there were significant differences in the clinical symptoms including gasping,cough, wheezing sound, expectoration among three groups (P<0.05),in which group B was superior to group A and group C (P<0.05).Furthermore no adverse reactions were observed in group B.Conclusion As compared with APC and cryotherapy,the APC combined with cryotherapy has more obvious therapeutic effects on ulcer type tracheobronchial tuberculosis, thus,which is worth using widely in clinical practice.
