Comparitive study on the long-term therapeutic effects of pingyangmycin and dexamethasone on oral lichen planus

Abstract：Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of pingyangmycin local injection on oral lichen planus (OLP).Methods Fifty -seven patients with OLP who were treated in our hospital from May 2013 to January 2016 were randomly divided into observation group ( n =26) and control group ( n =31).The patients in observation group were treated by pingyangmycin multipoint injection ,however,the patients in control group were treated by dexamethasone sodium phosphate multipoint injection.The total effective rate,relapse rate,VAS score and REU score before treatment and on 1m,3m,6m after treatment were observed and compared between two groups .Results After 1-month treatment,there were no significant differences in the therapeutic effects on OLP between two groups , however after 3-month treatment there were significant differences in all the indexes mentioned above in both groups ,as compared with those before treatment ( P <0.05),moreover, the VAS score and REU score,the total effective rate and relapse rate in observation group were superior to those in control group ( P <0.05).Conclusion The pingyangmycin local injection has obvious therapeutic effects on oral lichen planus,which can obviously relieve patient's pain,shorten the healing duration of erosion skin injury ,with lower relapse rate and fewer toxic and adverse reactions, therefore,which is worth using widely in clinical practice .
