Therapeutic effects of MHD on uremia and its effects on the levels of Hcy
Abstract:Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of maintenance hemodialysis ( MHD ) on uremia and its effects on the levels of homocysteine (Hcy). Methods One hundred patients with uremia who were treated in our hospital from March 2014 to October 2015 were enrolled in the study .According to treatment way , these patients were divided into peritoneal dialysis group ( n =48) and MHD group ( n =52).The blood biochemical indexes ,inflammatory cytokines,Hcy levels and life quality of patients before and after hemodialysis were observed and compared between two groups .Results Before treatment there were no significant differences in the levels of BUN ,SCr,GFR between two groups, however, the levels of BUN and SCr were decreased in both groups after treatment ,moreover, the levels of GFR were increased ,especially in MHD group ( P <0.05).Before treatment there were no significant differences in the levels of IL-18,IL-6,hs-CRP and Hcy between two groups, however, the levels of these indexes were decreased in both groups after treatment ,moreover, the decrease extent in MHD group was more obvious than that in control group ( P <0.05).Before treatment there were no significant differences in the life quality scores between two groups ,however, the life quality scores were increased in both groups after treatment, moreover, the increase extent in MHD group was more obvious than that in control group ( P <0.05).Conclusion The maintenance hemodialysis has better therapeutic effects on uremia , which can significantly improve the blood biochemical indexes of patients ,and can enhance life quality of patients .
