The clinical features and involved parts of extrauterine endometrial stromal sarcoma
Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical features and involved parts of extrauterine endometrial stromal sarcoma ( ESS) .Methods The clinical data about 124 patients with endometrial ESS who were admitted and treated in Department of Gynaecology of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital were retrospectively analyzed .According to the discharged diagnosis , the patients were divided into extrauterine ESS group ( n =54) and uterus origin ESS group ( n =70).The clinical data were compared between two groups , and involved parts and proportion were analyzed in patients with endometrial ESS , moreover , the correlation between endometrial ESS and endometriosis was analyzed .Results There were significant differences in abnormal vaginal bleeding, dysmenorrhea, incidence of coexist endometriosis between the two groups ( P <0.05).In the aspect of involved parts in patients with endometrial ESS, ovary was the main involved parts (98.15%),next,greater omentum (31.48%), peritoneum (16.67%), fallopian tubes (11.11%), mesentery (9.26%), sigmoid colon (9.26%), vagina (1.85%).However there were no significant differences in patient ' s age, menstrual status, pelvic mass, preoperative CA125 , histological features between the patients with extrauterine ESS complicated by endometriosis and the patients with extrauterine ESS without endometriosis ( P >0.05).Conclusion Extrauterine ESS exists special clinical characteristics and clinical manifestations , but its correlation with endometriosis still needs to be further investigated .
