Therapeutic effects of etoricoxib combined with Qushihuayujiedudingtong decoction on acute gouty arthritis and its effects on related inflammatory factors
Abstract：Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of etoricoxib combined with Qushihuayujiedudingtong decoction on acute gouty arthritis .Methods One hundred and thirty-two patients with acute gouty arthritis were randomly divided into two groups.The 66 patients in observation group were treated by etoricoxib combined with Qushihuayujiedudingtong decoction,however,the other 66 patients in control group were treated by etoricoxib only ,with a treatment course of two weeks for both groups .The therapeutic effects were observed after treatment , and the main symptoms and signs scores and laboratory-related indexes including UA , erythrocyte sedimentation rate ( ESR ) , C-reactive protein ( CRP ) , creatinine ( Cr ) ( IL-6 ) , tumor necrosis factor-α( TNF-α) , cyclooxygenase-2 ( COX-2 ) , interleukin-1β( IL-1β) , alanine aminotransferase ( ALT )-2 (COX-2) before and after treatment were observed and compared between two groups .Results The total effective rate in control group was 87.88%,which in observation group was 95.45%,and the therapeutic effects in observation group were superior to those in control group ( P <0.05).The scores of pain,swelling and activity limitation in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment ( P <0.05).After treatment the scores of arthralgia , red swelling of the skin, limitation of activity in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment ( P <0.05),moreover, the scores in observation group were obviously lower than those in control group ( P <0.05).After treatment the levels of UA,ESR,CRP, Cr,ALT,IL-6,IL-1β,TNF-αand COX-2 were obviously decreased , as compared with those before treatment in both groups (P<0.05), furthermore, the levels of UA and CRP in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group ( P <0.05).Conclusion The etoricoxib combined with Qushihuayujiedudingtong decoction in treatment of acute gouty arthritis can relieve or block local inflammatory reaction through multi -links and multi-target points,and can finally inhibit the development of acute gout and relieve the clinical symptoms quickly , therefor, which is worth using widely in clinical practice.
