Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of levels of blood pressure , blood lipid , blood glucose and renal function on cardiovascular events in patients with senile hypertension .Methods Four hundred and forty-eight patients with senile hypertension were enrolled in the study .These patients were divided into high level group and low level group by taking blood pressure ( SBP 140mm Hg, DBP 80mm Hg, PP 60mm Hg), blood lipid ( TC5.72mmol/L), blood glucose ( FPG 7.0mmol/L) and renal function (eGFR60ml· min· -2 · 1.73m-2 ) as bound values. Results After 2-year follow up, the incidence rate of coronary heart disease (CHD) events was 52.90% (237/448),stroke events 24.11% (208/448), cardiovascular death 6.70% (30/448).The incidence rates of CHD events ,stroke events and cardiovascular death in high level group were significantly higher than those in low level group ,moreover ,which in low eGFR group were significantly higher than those in high eGFR group ( P <0.05).Conclusion The levels of blood pressure, blood lipid, blood glucose and renal function are closely correlated to cardiovascular events in patients with senile hypertension ,thus,it has an important meaning to control these indexes mentioned above in normal range for improving disease ' s prognosis .
