Effects of acyclovir combined with microwave therapy on inflammatory factors and immune function of female patients with recurrent genital herpes

Abstract：Objective To observe the effects of acyclovir combined with microwave therapy on inflammatory factorsand immune function of female patients with recurrent genital herpes .Methods Ninety -six female patients with recurrentgenital herpes who were treated in our hospital from January 2014 to January 2015 were randomly divided into two groups :control group ( n =48) and observation group ( n =48).The patients in control group were treated by aciclovir only ,however,the patients in observation group were treated by acyclovir combined with microwave therapy .The therapeutic effectswere observed for both groups,moreover,the changes of levels of inflammatory factors including tumor necrosis factor -α(TNF-α),interleukin -4 (IL-4), interleukin -4 (IL-6) and immunologic factors including IgA,IgM,IgG,CD+3 ,CD+4 ,CD+8 wereobserved and compared between two groups .Results The effective rate in observation group was 97.92% (46/48),whichwas significantly higher than that [79.07% (38/48)] in control group ( P <0.05).After treatment the levels of TNF-α,IL-4,IL-6,IgA,IgM,IgG,CD+4 , CD+8 in observation group were superior to those in control group ( P <0.05).Conclusion The acyclovir combined with microwave therapy has obvious therapeutic effects on recurrent genital herpes in female patients ,which can relieve the inflammatory reactions of patients ,at the same time, which can enhance patients ’ immune functionparameters,thus, which is worth using widely in clinical practice.
