Clinical diagnostic value of exfoliocytology examination combined with tumor markers detection including carbohydrate antigen 125, CA15-3, CA19-9 in diagnosis of malignant dropsy of serous cavity
Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical significance of exfoliocytology examination combined with tumor markers detection including carbohydrate antigen 125, CA15-3, CA19-9 in diagnosis of malignant dropsy of serous cavity . Methods One hundred and sixty patients with malignant dropsy of serous cavity were enrolled in the study .According to the clinical manifestations ( benign or malignant ) these patients were divided into control group and trial group ,with 80 patients in each group.The expression levels of CEA , CA125, CA15-3, CA19-9 were detected and compared between two groups . Moreover the advantages and disadvantages of different diagnosis methods were observed and compared .Results The sensitivity,specificity, accuracy of exfoliocytology examination combined with carbohydrate antigen 125, CA15-3, CA19-9 detection in diagnosis of malignant dropsy of serous cavity were 98.2,99.1%, 97.2%,respectively,which were superior to those by the other diagnostic methods ( P <0.05).Conclusion The exfoliocytology examination combined with carbohydrate antigen 125,CA15-3,CA19-9 detection can obviously increase specificity and accuracy in diagnosis of malignant dropsy of serous cavity,thus,which is worth using widely in clinical practice .
