Abstract:Objective To investigate the significance of changes of myocardial-specific isoenzyme of creatine kinase ( CK-MB) , alanine aminotransferase ( ALT) and blood urea nitrogen ( BUN) levels in early diagnosis of neonatal asphyxia in order to provide theoretical basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of neonatal asphyxia. Methods Eighty patients with neonatal asphyxia were divided into two groups: mild asphyxia group ( n =40 ) and severe asphyxia group ( n =40 ) , moreover, the other 40 healthy neonates were served as control group. The levels of CK-MB, ALT, BUN before and after treatment were detected and compared among the three groups. Results As compared with those in control group before treatment, the serum levels of CK-MB, ALT in mild asphyxia group and severe asphyxia group were significantly increased (P<0.05).As compared with those in mild asphyxia group, the levels of CK-MB,ALT,BUN in severe asphyxia group were significantly increased ( P <0.05).Before treatment the serum levels of CK-MB,ALT in severe asphyxia group were significantly decreased ( P <0.05),moreover, there were significant differences in the levels of BUN before treatment and after treatment ( P <0.05).There were significant differences in the serum levels of CK-MB,ALT in mild asphyxia group before treatment and after treatment ( P <0.05) ,however, there were no significant differences in the levels of RUN before treatment and after treatment ( P >0.05).Before treatment there was a straight line correlation in the numerus distribution between CK-MB and ALT,BUN in severe asphyxia group ( r =0.736, P <0.05;r =0.621, P <0.05).Before treatment there was a straight line correlation in the numerus distribution between CK-MB and ALT in mild asphyxia group ( r =0.890, P <0.05),however, there was no straight line correlation between CK-MB and BUN ( r =0.021, P >0.05).Conclusion The detection of serum levels of CK-MB, ALT can be regarded as the indexes for early diagnosis of neonatal asphyxia, moreover, the BUN levels are not changed obviously in the early period of neonatal asphyxia, however, which are changed significantly in severe asphyxia, thus, which can be regarded as the indexes to evaluate the severity of neonatal asphyxia in clinical practice.
