Therapeutic effects of Xueshuantong injection combined with Yinxingdamo on spastic hemiplegia after cerebral stroke

Abstract：Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of Xueshuantong injection combined with Yinxingdamo on spastic hemiplegia after cerebral stroke.Methods One hundred patients with spastic hemiplegia after cerebral stroke were randomly divided into control group and the treatment group,with 50 patients in each group.The patients in control group,on the basis of conventional therapy, were treated by intravenous drip with Xueshuantong, however, the patients in treatment group were treated by Xueshuantong injection combined with Yinxingdamo,with 2 treatment courses for 28 days.The improved Boston Chinese aphasia test was performed,and MMSE method was used to determine patient's cognitive function, moreover, The US National Institutes of Health nerve impairment score ( NIHSS) and Barthel indexes were used to evaluate neurologic impairment and living ability of patients.Results The total effective rate in treatment group was 98%,which was significantly higher than that (76%) in control group ( P <0.05) .After treatment, neurologic impairment scores in treatment group were superior to those in control group ( P <0.05).There were no significant differences in improved Boston Chinese aphasia test scores on 1 day after treatment between two groups ( P >0.05),however, there were significant differences in improved Boston Chinese aphasia test scores on 10 day after treatment between two groups ( P <0.05).The MMSE scores on 1m, 3m, 6m and 1 year after treatment were significantly decreased in both groups,as compared with those before treatment ( P <0.05),however, MMSE scores in treatment group in different time points were significantly lower than those in control group ( P<0.05 ) .After treatment, Barthel indexes in treatment group were significantly higher than those in control group, however, NIHSS scores were significantly lower than those in control group ( P <0.05 ) .Conclusion Xueshuantong injection combined with Yinxingdamo can improve the language rehabilitation and neurologic function recovery of patients with spastic hemiplegia after cerebral stroke, moreover,which can improve patient’ s cognitive abilities, with better therapeutic effects and safety.
