Effects of HbA1c levels on Kllip classification, cardiac function and MACE risk in patients with acute myocardial infarction after percutaneous coronary intervention
Abstract:Objective To observe the effects of glycosylated hemoglobin ( HbA1c) levels on Kllip classification, cardiac function and MACE risk in patients with acute myocardial infarction ( AMI) after percutaneous coronary intervention ( PCI) .Methods One hundred and ten patients with AMI who were admitted and treated by PCI in our hospital from May 2012 to May 2015 were divided into two groups according to random HbA1c levels before PCI:group A ( n =76) with HbA1c levels <8% and group B ( n =34) with HbA1c levels ≥8%.The Killip classification, NYHA classification of heart function, echocardiography indexes, the incidence rate and mortality of MACE after PCI were observed and compared between two groups. Results The Killip classification and NYHA classification after PCI in group A were superior to those in group B ( P<0.05) .The levels of LVDd and LA in group B were significantly higher than those in group A ( P <0.05) , however, the levels of LVEF in group B were significantly lower than those in group A ( P <0.05).The incidence rate and mortality of MACE in group B were significantly higher than those in group A ( P <0.05).Conclusion The higher levels of HbA1c in AMI patients receiving PCI may affect seriously the improvement of cardiac function after operation, and increase the incidence rate of MACE and death risk of patients.
