Therapeutic effects of pranoprofen ophthalmic solution on postoperative recovery of patients after cataracts operation

Abstract：Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of pranoprofen ophthalmic solution on postoperative recovery of patients after cataracts operation.Methods One hundred and ninety patients with cataract who received operation treatment in our hospital from December 2013 to June 2015 were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 95 patients in each group.The patients in observation group were treated by pranoprofen ophthalmic solution,however, the patients in control group were treated by fluorometholone eye drops.The eye symptoms,sign scores, flare values of anterior chamber, the thickness of central fovea of macula were detected on 1d,3d,7d,14d,28d after operation in both groups.Results There were no significant differences in eye symptoms and sign scores on 1d,3d after operation between two groups ( P >0.05). However the eye symptoms and sign scores in observation group on 7d,14d,28d after operation were significantly lower than those in control group ( P <0.05).There were no significant differences in flare values of anterior chamber on 1d,3d after operation between two groups ( P >0.05),but the flare values of anterior chamber in observation group on 7d,14d,28d after operation were significantly lower than those in control group ( P <0.05).There was no significant difference in thickness of central fovea of macula on 1d,3d after operation between two groups ( P >0.05), however the thickness of central fovea of macula in observation group on 7d,14d,28d after operation was significanyly lower than that in control group ( P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions during postoperative recovery in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group (31.58% vs 47.37%, P <0.05).Conclusion The therapeutic effects of pranoprofen ophthalmic solution on postoperative recovery are much better in patients after cataract operation,which can effectively decrease the incidence of adverse reactions after operation.
