Effects of compond recipe common selfheal spike combined with captopril and metformin on adipocytokines, function of beta cell of islet and insulin resistance in patients with type 2 diabetes complicated by hypertension
Abstract：Objective To observe the effects of compond recipe common selfheal spike combined with captopril and metformin on adipocytokines,the function of beta cell of islet and insulin resistance in patients with type 2 diabetes complicated by hypertension. Methods A total of 100 patients with type 2 diabetes complicated by hypertension who were admitted and treated in our hospital from January 2014 to December 2015 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 50 patients in each group. The patients in control group were treated by captopril and metformin,however,the patients in observation group,on the basis of control group, were given compond recipe common selfheal spike. After treatment, the levels of mean arterial blood pressure ( MAP ) , fasting blood glucose ( FBG ) , 2 hours postprandial blood glucose ( 2 hPBG ) , glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), waist circumference, body mass index (BMI), adipocytokines (retinal, adiponectin and visfatin), fasting insulin (FINS), homeostasis model HOMA β-cell function index (HOMA-β), insulin resistance index ( HOMA-IR ) and insulin sensitivity index ( ISI ) were detected and compared between two groups. Results After the treatment,the levels of MAP, FBG, 2 hPBG, HbA1c, waist circumference, BMI, visfatin, FINS and HOMA-IR were significantly decreased,however, the levels of retinal, adiponectin, HOMA-β and ISI were significantly increased in both groups,as compared with those before treatment ( P <0. 05). Moreover the improvement degree of the parameters mentioned above in observation group was superior to that in control group ( P <0. 05). Conclusion The compond recipe common selfheal spike combined with captopril and metformin can decrease obviously patient ’ s blood pressure and blood sugar, effectively modulate the levels of adipocytokines and improve the function of beta cell of islet and insulin resistance in patients with type 2 diabetes complicated by hypertension.
