Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical significance of the detection of marrow MicroRNA ( miR-223 and miR-99a) in children with acute myeloid leukemia .Methods The marrow staining specimens and clinical data aboult 30 children with acute myeloid leukemia were collected and were divided into relapse group ( n =13) and remission group ( n =17),moreover,8 healthy children were served as control group .The expression levels of miR-223和miR-99a in marrow were detected by Real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR (Real time -PCR,RT-PCR),furthermore, the changes of the two markers in children with acute myeloid leukemia were observed and compared among the three groups .Results There were significant differences in the expression levels of miR-223 and miR-99a between relapse group and control group as well as between remission group and control group ( P <0.01).Moreover there were significant differences in the expression levels of miR-223 and miR-99a between relapse group and remission group ( P <0.01).Besides the expression levels of miR-223 and miR-99a in relapse group were negatively correlated to those in remission group ( r =-0.529,-0.587,respectively, P <0.01).Conclution The expressions of miR-223 and miR-99a in bone marrow are correlated with the pathogenesis and development of acute myeloid leukemia in children , thus, which can be regarded as molecular markers in diagnosis and treatment of acute myeloid leukemia in children .
