The diagnostic value of combination detection of serum HE4 with CA125 in ovarian epithelial carcinoma
Abstract:Objective To explore the diagnostic value of combination detection of serum human epididymis protein (HE4) with ovarian carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) in ovarian epithelial carcinoma. Methods The serum levels of HE4 were detected by ELISA,and serum levels of CA125 were detected by chemiluminescence .116 patients with ovarian epithelial carcinoma were served as malignant tumor group , and 60 patients with benign ovarian tumors were served as benign tumor control group, moreover, the other 50 healthy subjects were served as health control group .The levels of HE4 and CA125 were observed and compared among the three groups ,furthermore, the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive and negative predictive values of combination detection and single detection were analyzed .Results As compared with those in health control group and benign tumor control group , the levels of serum HE4 and CA125 in malignant tumor group were significantly increased ( P <0.05).As compared with those detected by single detection method , the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of CA 125 and HE4 by combination detection were significantly increased, which reached 88.89%, 92.00%, 89.77%, 96.55%,76.67%,respectively ( P <0.05).Conclusion The combination detection of CA 125 with HE4 plays an important role in diagnosis of ovarian epithelial carcinoma .
