Effects of Xingnaojing injection on serum levels of Copeptin, NT-proBNP and NIHSS scores in patients with acute cerebral infarction

Abstract：Objective To explore the protective effects and action mechanism of Xingnaojing injection on nerve function of patients with acute cerebral infarction by observe the effects of Xingnaojing injection on serum levels of Copeptin , NT-proBNP and NIHSS scores of patients .Methods One hundred and twelve patients with acute cerebral infarction who were admitted and treated in our hospital from February 2013 to February 2015 were randomly divided into observation group ( n =56 ) and control group ( n =56 ) .The patients in control group were treated by conventional symptomatic treatment , however , the patients in observation group , on the basis of control group , were treated by Xingnaojing injection .The serum levels of Copeptin,NT-proBNP and NIHSS scores before treatment and on 7d,14d after treatment were observed and compared between the two groups .Results Before treatment , there were no significantly differences in the serum levels of Copeptin ,NT-proBNP and NIHSS score between two groups ( P >0.05).However after 7-day and 14-day treatment the serum levels of Copeptin, NT-proBNP and NIHSS scores in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group ( P <0.05 ). Conclusion Xingnaojing injection can effectively reduce serum levels of Copeptin ,NT-proBNP and NIHSS scores in patients with acute cerebral infarction so us to protect nerve function of patients .
