Abstract:Objective To analyze and compare the correlation and concordance of turbidimetric method ( Turbidimetric platelet aggregometry,TPA) and electrical impedance method ( impedance platelet aggregometry,IPA) in detecting platelet aggregation rate in different populations. Methods The patients were divided into hyperlipemia group, normal blood fat group, and control group in which the patients with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia were treated by radio frequency current ablation. The platelet aggregation rates were detected by two kinds of methods, then, the correlation and concordance of TPA method and IPA method were analyzed and compared. Results There were no significant differences in the examination results between two methods, there was no significant difference in the distribution of examination results in control group ( P>0.05),however,there was a significant difference in the distribution of examination results in the other two groups and total group ( P <0.05).The rectilinear correlation analysis results showed that there was a positive correlation between the two detection methods ( r =0.50, P <0.05).There was an rectilinear correlation in normal blood fat group, however, there was a low degree positive correlation between the two methods ( r =0.48, P <0.05) ,moreover, the correlation degree of detection results was the least in hyperlipemia group ( P <0.05) ,which showed a low degree linear correlation ( r <0.40) .There was a positive correlation in total group ( r =0.45, P <0.05).The results by Kappa coefficient analysis showed that there was a low degree correlation among control group, normal blood fat group, total group, however, there was no obvious concordance correlation in hyperlipemia group. Conclusion There is no obvious correlation between TPA and IPA in detecting platelet aggregation rate in different populations, especially for the patients with hyperlipidemia, thus the two methods in clinical detection should not be substituted each other.
