Expression and significance of CXCL12-CXCR4 and MMP2-TIMP2 in cervical cancer
Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression and significance of CXCL12-CXCR4 and MMP2-TIMP2 in cervical cancer tissues in order to explore the pathogenesis process and metastasis mechanism of cervical cancer. Methods The expression levels of CXCL12-CXCR4 and MMP2-TIMP2 were detected by immunohistochemistry in 23 patients with cervical cancer( experimental group)and 25 patients who underwent whole hysterectomy because of multiple myomata (control group). The correlation between the expressions of CXCL12-CXCR4,MMP2-TIMP2 and pathogenesis of cervical cancer was analyzed. Results As compared with those in control group, the expression levels of CXCL12-CXCR4 as well as MMP2-TIMP2 were significantly increased( P < 0. 05). The expressions of CXCL12 were positively correlated to those of MMP2( r = 0. 452,P < 0. 05),so were between CXCL12 and TIMP2( r = 0. 533,P < 0. 05)in cervical cancer. Conclusion The pathogenesis and metastasis of cervical cancer may be closely correlated to CXCL12-CXCR4 and MMP2-TIMP2,moreover,CXCL12 may play an important role in the process.
