Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation between the expression of indolakylamine 2,3 dioxygenase (IDO)and the pathogenesis and pathological process of cervical cancer. Methods Seventy - five cases of stone sodium tissue specimens after cervical cancer surgery(cervical cancer group)were collected in Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of our hospital, and 30 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia class I(CIN gradeⅠgroup),30 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia class Ⅱ ~ Ⅲ(CIN gradeⅡ ~ Ⅲ group),30 cases of normal cervical tissues(control group),were collected in the study. The positive expression rates of IDO were detected by immunohistochemical method in all the groups, moreover, the correlation between the expression of IDO and pathological process of cervical cancer, survivorship and prognosis of patients was analyzed. Results The positive expression rates of IDO in cervical cancer group were significantly higher than those in CIN gradeⅠgroup,CIN gradeⅡ ~ Ⅲ group, control group(P < 0. 05). The positive expression rates of IDO in Ⅱ ~ Ⅲ group were significantly higher than those in control group( P < 0. 05). The positive expression rates of IDO in patients with poorly differentiated cervical cancer, patients with Ⅲ + Ⅳ stage cervical cancer, patients with lymph node metastasis, were obviously increased, furthermore, the positive expression rates of IDO were closely correlated to the differentiation degree of cervical cancer,FIGO staging and lymph node metastasis( P < 0. 05). After 36 - month follow up,among 53 patients with positive expression of IDO,7 patients died and 2 patients were failure to follow up,among 22 patients with negative expression of IDO, 3 patients died and 1 patient was failure to follow up. There was no significant difference in 3 - year mortality between patients with positive expression of IDO and patients with negative expression of IDO( P > 0. 05). The 3 - year survival neutral time in patients with negative expression was 35. 4 months, which in patients with positive expression of IDO was 34. 2 months, there was no significant difference between them( P > 0. 05). Conclusion The high - expression of IDO is observed in cervical cancer, which is correlated to differentiation degree of cervical cancer,FIGO staging ,lymph node metastasis at certain extent, however, which is not related with 3 - year survival prognosis of patients,it is need to lengthen follow up time to observe further.
