Expression and clinical significance of PEG10 in placenta tissue of patients with severe preeclampsia
Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of paternally expressed gene 10 (PEG10)in placenta tissue of patients with severe preeclampsia(SPE). Methods One hundred and forty - five pregnant women with parturition or induced labor in our hospital from April 2014 to March 2015 were enrolled in the study. These pregnant women were divided into four groups according to gestational week and SPE incidence:early-onset SPE group( n =33),early health group( n = 35),late-onset SPE group( n = 37)and later health group( n = 40). The placenta tissues of the pregnant women were collected and made into sections. The expression levels of PEG10 protein were detected by immunohistochemistry, and the absorbance was measured to analyze and compare the expressions of PEG10 by CMIAS pathological image analysis software. Results The expressions of PEG10 proteins were found in trophoblastic cell membrane and cytoplasm in all the groups. The expression levels of PEG10 protein in placenta tissues of early-onset SPE group were significantly higher than those in early health group, moreover, which in late-onset SPE group were obviously higher than those in later health group( P < 0. 01). The expression levels of PEG10 protein in late-onset SPE group were slightly lower than those of early-onset SPE group, but there were no significant differences between two groups( P > 0. 05). Conclusion The overexpression of PEG10 in placenta tissues of pregnant women may be correlated to the pathogenesis of SPE.
