Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of EGFR,Ki-67 in three negative breast cancer(TNBC)and its relationship with the clinicopathological characteristics as well as the correlation between endothelial growth factor receptor(EGFR)and Ki-67 gene expression. Methods The clinicopathological characteristics of 67 cases of human TNBC and 125 cases of non TNBC(NTNBC)were retrospectively analyzed, and the expression levels of EGFR,Ki-67 in the two groups were detected by immunohistochemistry, moreover, the correlation between EGFR and Ki-67 gene expression was analyzed. Results The positive expression rate of EGFR in TNBC group was 89. 6% ,however, which was 57. 6% in NTNBC group, there was a significant difference between two groups( P < 0. 05). The expression of EGFR in TNBC group was not related with patient’s age, tumor’s size, lymph node metastasis and histological grade, however, which was correlated to pathological type. The positive expression rate of Ki-67 in TNBC group was 92. 5% ,however, which was 66. 4% in NTNBC group, there was a significant difference between two groups( P < 0. 05). The expression of Ki-67 in TNBC group was not correlated to patient’s age, tumor’s size, lymph node metastasis, histological grade and pathological type. Conclusion The high-expression of EGFR and Ki-67 appears in TNBC,which suggests its high malignant degree, greater invasion and poor prognosis, therefore,EGFR and Ki-67 can be regarded as important reference indexes for evaluating the prognosis of TNBC.
