Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between acute cerebral infraction and homocysteine ( Hcy ) , apolipoproteins a[LP(a)],blood uric acid (UA),D-dimer (D2) and high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in the elderly. Methods The levels of Hcy,LP(a),UA,D2 and hs-CRP were detected in 120 elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction ( observation group ) and 130 healthy subjects ( control group ) .The patients with acute cerebral infarction were redivided into three subgroups acording to the scores of NIHSS: <5,5~15,>15.Results As compared with those in control group, the levels of Hcy,LP(a),UA,D2 and hs-CRP in observation group were significantly increased ( P <0.05).The levels of Hcy,LP(a),UA,D2 and hs-CRP in observation group with NIHSS:5~15,>15 were significantly higher than those of NIHSS: <5 and control group ( P <0.05).Conclusion The levels of Hcy,LP(a),UA,D2 and hs-CRP are increased with the severity of acute cerebral infarction in the elderly .
