Abstract:Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of indigo rouge staining under endoscope in precancerous lesions and early gastric cancer .Meth ods One hundred and eighty patients who received electronic gastroscopy from August 2008 to December 2012 were examined by indigo rouge staining under endoscope ,moreover biopsy was performed in doubtful diseased region for routine histopathologic examination .The patients who were diagnosed as early gastric cancer or neoplasia in high grade were operated in department of general surgery , then the surgical ablation specimens were examined by routine pathology method again, the coincidence of examination results was compared between two methods .Results Among 180 patients,20 cases of early gastric carcinoma were found including 14males and 6 females. The staining positive rate was 80.21%in patients with digestive tract symptoms ,which was significantly higher than that (36.90%)in patients without digestive tract symptoms ( P <0.05).The detection rate of early gastric cancer was 18.75% in patients with digestive tract symptoms, however, which was only 2.38%in patients without digestive tract symptoms ,the total detection rate of early gastric cancer was11.11%.The coincidence between two pathological examination methods was 85.00%, and the coincidence of neoplasia in high grade was 68.75%,there was no significant difference between them ( P >0.05).Conclusion Indigo rouge staining under endoscopy can show more clearly the minute lesions in gastric mucosa ,and can guide targeted biopsy to increase positive rate of biopsy ,as a result, which can significantly enhance the detection rate of early gastric cancer .
