Abstract：Objective To evaluate the detection significance of vascular enhancement technique ( VET ) in carotid pathological changes ,and to explore the diagnostic value of VET for vascular early pathological changes of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus ( T2DM) in order to provide clinical reference .Methods Sixtyz-three patients with T2DMwere examined by VET to show normal and pathological change blood vessel , moreover, the examination results were compared with those examined by traditional ultrasound technique .Results The levels of HbA1C, FPG, LDL-C, IMT in T2DM group were significantly higher than those in control group ( P <0 .05 ) .The application of VET not only improved the display of ultrasound for carotid artery vessel wall and intima ,but also more clearly showed the outline ,size and scope of the plaque .As compared with traditional ultrasound technique ,VET could obviously increase display rate of plaque ( P<0 .05).Conclusion VET can improve the vascular display capability and display sensitivity , can show more clearly the structure of vascular lumen and vascular wall ,which has higher clinical application value .
