Experimental study on the effect of Astragalus Polysaccharide on immune function in vitro
Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Astragalus Polysaccharides on the immune function of mice ,provide a theoretical basis for its clinical application . Methods The mice spleen cells , which placed in 96-well cell culture plates , were divided into astragalus polysaccharide group and blank control group .The cell proliferation activity was measured by WST-1 method while ELISA method for cell factor IL-2, IFN-γ;flow cytometry (FCM) to detect cell phenotype .Results The proliferation of cell activity of Astragalus polysaccharide group were obvious higher than that of control group ( P <0.01);the concentration of IL-2 and IFN-γin astragalus polysaccharide group increased with the rising concentration of Astragalus polysaccharide , a dose dependent manner in a certain range; astragalus polysaccharides can stimulate the proliferation of B lymphocytes and T lymphocyte .Conclusion Astragalus polysaccharide can enhance immune function .It can not only improve the humoral immune function , but also can increase the cellular immune function .
