Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression of CD 105 in colorectal carcinoma and to explore the relationship between the expression and angiogenesis .Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of CD 105 in 60 cases of primary colorectal carcinomas ,20 cases of colorectal adenomas and 10 cases of normal colorectal tissues .Results The average microvessel number labeled with CD 105 in 60 cases of colorectal carcinoma was 30 ±8.The MVD value in primary colorectal carcinomas labeled with CD 105 was significantly higher than that in colorectal adenomas ( P <0.01),which was closely related to TNM stage, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis ( P <0.01),however,which was not correlated with patient’s sex and age,the tumor’s size, histological type, pathological type and the degree of differentiation ( P >0.05). Conclusion MVD has significant differences at the respects of TNM stage ,lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis, which suggests that the patients with enhancement of CD 105 expression density have higher rates of tumor metastasis and poorer prognosis .
