Expressions and significances of p27,MMP-2,MMP-9 in colon carcinoma
Abstract:Objective To investigate the expressions and clinical significance of p 27,MMP-2,MMP-9 in colon carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of p 27,MMP-2,MMP-9 in 50 specimens of colon carcinoma tissues, the tissues around cancer and normal tissues from resection margin .Results In colon cancer tissues, the tissues 3 cm away from cancer and normal colon tissues ,the positive expression rates of p27 were 54%,90%,100%, MMP-2 were 76%,20%,0 and MMP-9 were 82%,44%,0,respectively.There were significant differences in the positive expression rates of p27,MMP-2 and MMP-9 among the three kinds of tissues ( P <0.05).The expressions of p27,MMP-2 and MMP-9 in cancer tissues were closely correlated to the differentiation degree ,Dukes staging and lymph node metastases (P <0.01).Conclusion The lower-expression of p27 and overexpression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 play an important role in the pathogenesis, development, infiltration and metastasis of colon carcinoma .
