Expression and clinical significance of zinc transporter ZNT1 in bladder carcinoma
Abstract:Objective To detect the expression levels of zinc transporter (ZNT1) in normal bladder mucosal tissue and bladder carcinoma tissues in order to provide scientific data for further study .Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression levels of ZNT1 in 23 cases of bladder cancer tissue and 9 cases of normal bladder tissue.Real Time RT-PCR and Western Blot were used to detect the mRNA and protein levels of ZNT 1 in bladder carcinoma and normal bladder mucosal tissue so as to analyze the clinical significance of ZNT 1 gene expression. Results The immunohistochemical results showed that the expression levels of ZNT1 in normal bladder tissue were relatively lower ,with the expression positive rate being 22.2%,however,which in bladder cancer tissue was 87%,there were significant differences between normal bladder tissue and bladder cancer tissue ( P <0.01).Both the Real Time RT-PCR and Western Blot analysis results showed that the expression levels of ZNT1 in normal bladder tissue were significantly increased ,as compared with those in normal bladder tissues ( P <0.01).Conclusion The expression levels of ZNT1 mRNA and protein in bladder cancer tissue are obviously increased,as compared with those in normal bladder tissue ,which may be one of indexes in the early diagnosis of bladder cancer.
