Effect of stilbene glycoside on proliferation and differentiation of rat's osteoblasts

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of stilbene glycoside ( THSG) on proliferation and differentiation of rat’s osteoblasts.Methods The osteoblasts of SD rats were isolated and cultured in vitro .The cell proliferation activity was detected by MTT.The alkaline phosphatase ( ALP) activity was determined by alkaline phosphatase activity kit , and the expression levels of c-fos and c-jun in osteoblast were detected by ELISA .Results The osteoblast activities intervened by THSG at the concentration of 0.03~10mg/ml for 24h were significantly increased ,as compared with those in control group (P <0.05 or <0.01);the ALP activities of osteoblasts in THSG group after 3-day intervention were significantly increased, as compared with those in control group ( P <0.05 or <0.01);the expression levels of c-fos and c-jun in osteoblast were significantly higher than those in control group ( P <0.05 or <0.01) Conclusion Stilbene glycoside can promote the mature of osteoblasts obviously .
