Effect of polygonum multiflorum drink on sex hormones and their receptors in senescence accelerated mice
Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of polygonum multiflorum drink ( PGMD ) on sex hormones and their receptors in senescence accelerating mice .Methods SAMP8 mice were randomly divided into model group, VE group and PGMD ( low, middle, high) group.Each group has 12 mice, at the same time, SAMP1 mice were the control group .After 8 weeks'intragastric administration , chemiluminescence immuno assay was used to detect the contents of E 2, LH and FSH; Index of ovary was calculated .Real time PCR and western blot were used to detect the mRNA and protein expression of ERα、LHR、FSHR in ovary.Results Compared with the model group, the level of E2 increased( P <0.05), LH、FSH decreased in PGMD group in blood serum ( P<0.05).Index of ovary increased in PGMD group ( P <0.05).The expression of ERα、LHR、FSHR increased in PGMD group( P <0.05).Conclusion PGMD could delay aging of ovary in senescence accelerated mice by regulating sex hormones and their receptors .
