Synthesis of Epoxidized Castor Oil
Abstract：The castor oil was prepared using the peroxyacetic acid by catalysis of phosphoric acid. Some factors which had effect on the epoxy value of product, such as reaction time, reaction temperature, the a- mounts of hydrogen peroxide etc were discussed. The result showed the effects of various parameters as follows：reaction time〉reaction temperature 〉 the amount of acid consumption〉 the amount of hydrogen peroxide 〉 catalyst concentration. FI-IPt was exploited to characterize the epoxidized castor oil, and then the differences of TG and DTG were compared to examine the thermal stability of epoxidized castor oil.
