Study on shear lag effect of steel box girder under construction conditions

Abstract:In order to study the characteristics of shear lag effect under the condition of bridge steel box girder construction, this article analyzed the longitudinal deflection distribution characteristics of the bridge under dif-ferent loads,as well as the influence of changes in box girder size and corrugated steel web size on the shear hys-teresis effect of steel box girders, based on the actual construction of the Weiqi Road Dongjin Phase II bridge project, using numerical simulation calculation methods The results show that, under concentrated load and uni-form load, the increase of width-span ratio and width-height ratio of the bridge has a greater impact on the shear lag effect and mid-span section deflection of the bridge steel box girder than other factors.Under the concentrat-ed load and uniform load, the increase of the thickness of the bridge roof has little effect on the shear lag effect and the deflection of the mid-span section of the bridge steel box girder compared with other thicknesses.Under different loads, the increase of the length and height of the straight plate with corrugated steel webs has little effect on the shear lag effect and mid-span deflection of the box girder compared with other lengths and heights. In the design process of steel box girder, the shear lag effect of box girder can be improved by optimizing the sec-tion size of steel box girder and appropriately increasing the beam height and flange width of steel box girder.
