Application and prospect of liquid carbon dioxide in the prevention and control of spontaneous combustion in goaf

Abstract：In order to comprehensively understand the current situation and existing problems in the application of liquid carbon dioxide in spontaneous combustion fires in goaf,the characteristics of different inert gas fire prevention media,the properties of the three phases of carbon dioxide and the mechanism of liquid car-bon dioxide fire extinguishing were analysed.The analysis results show that liquid carbon dioxide has obvious advantages in coal mine fire prevention and extinguishing because of its fast and efficient fire extinguishing effect,and the application conditions of three different liquid carbon dioxide iperfusion technology are com-pared.It is believed that the challenge for the application of liquid carbon dioxide in underground fire extin-guishing is the need for in-depth research and optimisation of the physical parameters of liquid carbon dioxide,the perfusion technology and the safe transport distance.
