Research on the relation between the motivation of undergraduates’achievement and academic self-efficacy under the emergency context

Abstract：The mental health of undergraduate has received extensive attention under the emergency situation,but there have done few researches on the status quo of their achievement motivation and academic self-effica-cy and the correlation of them.In order to obtain the firsthand information of them,819 college students from an university in Hebei Province were investigated by random-sampling from March to May 2023.Research shows that under the emergency situation,the achievement motivation and the academic self-efficacy of college students are at a moderate to high level,and they are closely related.Boys’achievement motivation and academic self-efficacy are significantly higher than those of girls;the achievement motivation of science students are significantly higher than those of arts students;junior students’achievement motivation are signifi-cantly higher than those of undergraduates in other grades,and the achievement motivation of first-year students are the lowest.So,parents and schools need to pay more attention to the cultivation of achievement motivation for girls,humanities students,and freshmen,enhance girls'academic self-efficacy,and then their psychological qualities can be promoted healthily.
