Abstract:In the field of coal mining, unsafe behaviors among coal miners are a significant cause of safety ac-cidents.To regulatethe unsafe behaviors of miners and reduce the occurrence of coal mine safety accidents, this paper explores the impact of positive and negative incentives on unsafe behavior intentions and unsafe be-haviors based on the reinforcement theory in incentive theory, using unsafe behavior intentions as a mediating variable.A survey questionnaire was designed, and empirical research was conducted by collecting data from frontline workers of a coal mine in Shanxi and constructing a structural equation model(SEM)of positive in-centives,negative incentives, unsafe behavior intentions, and unsafe behaviors. The results show that spiritual rewards and spiritual punishments significantly negatively affect unsafe behavior intentions, and shame punish-ments significantly negatively affect unsafe behaviors, while unsafe behavior intentions significantly positively affect unsafe behaviors.
