Abstract:The fabrication of AuNPs into the nanomaterials with uniform dispersion is one of the main strategies to improve the catalytic activity of nanocomposite. This study prepared in situ AuNPs loaded chitosan hydrogel, with acrylic acid(AA)as functional monomer,N,N-methylenebisacrylamide(MBA)as crosslink-ing agent, and ammonium persulfate(APS)as initiator. The structure and morphology of the hydrogel are characterized by Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),Thermogravimetry(TG)and solid ultraviolet.Subsequently,4-nitrophenol(4-NP)and rhodamine B(RhB)catalytic reaction is used as a typical model to evaluate catalytic performances of chitosan(CS)-based composite hydrogel catalysts. It is found that AuNPs could be effectively loaded into chitosan hydrogels and had high catalytic efficiency for 4-NP and RhB.
