Abstract:In order to further grasp the range of advance pressure impact during the mining of deep-seated rock burst-prone coal seams across faults and ensure the safety of the roof in the mining face,a combination of numerical simulation and theoretical analysis was used to study the impact of fault crossing on mining in a rock burst-prone coal mine in southwest Shandong Province, and a corresponding model was established. The results show that the fault has asignificant influence on the distribution of the maximum principal stress in the coal seam. The maximum principal stress in the track parallel to the fault decreases with the increase of the dis-tance from the open-off cut, while the maximum principal stress in the tape parallel to the fault decreases with the increase of distance from the cutting eye and the decrease of distance to the fault. With the increase of dis-tance from the open-off cut and the decrease of the distance from the fault, the maximum principal stress in-creases.During the mining period, the range of advanced influence is within the85-95m,and the monitoring of the advance range of the track trough should be strengthened during the mining period.
